Do I need experience to go rock climbing in Boulder?

No experience is required. Most of our guests have never climbed outdoors before. We start from the ground up — gear, safety, movement, and reading rock — so you're confident and capable from your very first climb.

Is outdoor rock climbing appropriate for kids and families?

We guide families regularly and rock climbing is an activity kids can absolutely participate in. Matt adapts every session to your group's age and ability, uses age-appropriate gear, and makes risk management decisions throughout the day. Rock climbing carries inherent risks — having a certified, experienced guide means those risks are understood and managed professionally.

What gear is provided — do I need to bring anything?

Everything is included — helmet, harness, climbing shoes, and all technical gear. Just bring comfortable clothes you can move in, a snack, water, and sunscreen. We handle the rest.

Where exactly do you climb in Boulder?

We primarily guide in the Flatirons, Boulder Canyon, Flagstaff Mountain, and Eldorado Canyon — some of Colorado's most iconic climbing areas. Location is chosen based on your group's experience level and the day's conditions.

How far in advance should I book?

Popular spring and summer dates fill quickly, especially Fridays and weekends. Booking 4–8 weeks in advance is recommended. If you have a specific date in mind, earlier is always better.

What types of groups do you guide?

We guide corporate team building groups, schools and youth programs, families, churches, recreation centers, birthday and celebration groups, and friends and family gatherings. Private group sessions accommodate 4–9 participants.

Do you offer private climbing lessons and coaching in Boulder?

Yes. We offer 1:1 private climbing lessons for adults, youth competition coaching, and routesetting consulting. Sessions take place in-person at a Boulder climbing facility or virtually. $125 per hour.
